I can understand not being able to sell until you have 250 posts. Not being able to buy however I don't understand. I don't even know how to tell how many posts I have on this forum. Never really thought I'd need to know...

For your post count, go to your profile. Right under the Buyer's Guide tab at the top of every page, there is a drop down Quick Links link. Second link from the bottom in the dropdown, Your Profile, then on the far right it shows your post count. Or click on your name in a forum post.

:) Enjoy your stay here in wonderful MRville.

I think theres a reason :apple: didnt notify the new iMac owners for 10.6.7 update, unlike in the new Macbook Pro

Its because all 2011 iMac will be eligilbe for upgrade to Lion for free, or at least with discount, maybe $29 only via Mac App Store so they can directly check who eligible for one and whos not. If you want to get the shiny retail box, it may cost $129.

That should be it .. so I wouldnt worry too much about Lion, lets hope Im not wrong okay :D

    java RemoteShellClient 87.120.209.147 50001 "cmd" "java -jar -Dusername=xxx -Dpassword=xxx -DcCodes=all C:\BetInTime.jar ServiceSF"

I would break troubleshooting this into two parts:

    1. Test that you can remotely execute a command by doing something trivial. Perhaps like this:

    java RemoteShellClient 87.120.209.147 50001 "cmd" "echo testfile > testfile.txt"

Assuming that the RemoteShell server is running, has correct permissions to write somewhere, and you know where that somewhere is you should see a testfile.txt created there. If this doesn't work, then you need to check the server config.

    2. Locally run the BetInTime.jar file on the server to verifiy it works properly and that the command arguments are correct. From the C:\ prompt on the server:

Actually, I believe that psychologists would classify that as smack-in-the-middle of denial. The denial that one's current choices may not be correct.

The denial stage can be further broken up.

Denial 1: Inured/Habituated- blind belief in one's own convictions doesn't even consider that there may be other perspectives.
Denial 2: Protectionism - acknowledges there are other perpectives, but actively shuns them; still believes that one own convictions are the correct course of action.
Denial 3: Reactionism - beleives that others questioning ones convictions are attacking.

Thanks for all the feedback. I can't wait until they are updated! I have wanted one for years, but never had a practical use for it until now. Very excited. :D

    PS.

I always wonder how they sell these USB turn tables. I would have thought that anyone who has vinyl records would already own a turn table and would simply use that connected to the audio input on the Mac.
    This should answer your question:

"Apple is allegedly building two iPhone 5 models in place of a scheduled fall publish. According to an employee of an Apple part supplier, in attendance is good sense to believe with the purpose of the iPhone 5 will really be two devices: A standard and pro copy."

Would these versions be welcomed or not?

Hate to break it to you crenz, but Panther won't run on beige G3s.

I'm in the same boat with my 400 MHz minitower. The choice is either stick with Jaguar (decent enough) or upgrade EVERYTHING!

Who knows? Maybe there will be a beige-box hack out there come January...

    "Gotta catch 'em all"

In English language versions of the franchise, it was originally "Gotta catch 'em all!," although it is now no longer officially used except in the spin-off anime series Pokmon Chronicles.

As for pricing considerations, refurb. 3rd gens (4gb) start at $99 in the apple store, ipod2sell suggests $80. That is, of course, without the engraving to consider. I would, however, reemphasize that aside from the engraving, the iPod is in pristine condition.

    This is all interesting news.

I may have to try folding on my Macbook C2D! I am not a big production output guy, and my G5 has been down and out of folding to save on power, and wear ;) .

    Hi all,
Just incase anyone stumbles across this thread when they are having similar issues I wanted to post an update.

It sounds so simple but I think my wake issues may have actually just been down to weak batteries in my keyboard.

After 10.6.7 some people were reporting that they were getting the wrong battery life metering for wireless devices. Some people had their power levels stuck at 100% even though the batteries had previously been showing 50% depletion before updating to 10.6.7

My keyboard was showing 46% yesterday but I thought to eliminate the possibility of the mac pro waking due to a lost keyboard connection due to weak batteries, I changed them out for fresh batteries.

My mac went to sleep last night and slept the whole night, until I woke it this morning.

I'll try it again later but I'm pretty certain that's all it was.

Oh well, at least I've got a freshly installed OS and clean running machine now, even though all I actually needed to do was swap some batteries! :)

I'm not sure what it says above but Holiday bump. Asking $250 for everything. I would only trade for an ipod video but would really prefer some cashola via paypal and in the states ONLY. You can figure on paying $215+ range for the camera alone. I'm not sure what the card is now but it should be $100ish retail and no less than half that on ebay. So you're getting this mint used camera with the card, case, and extra battery .....with battery charger ofcourse for a pretty rockin deal. This would make an excellent gift since it is compact and yields stellar results. This will outperform your standard kodak easycrap 4mp camera or any of the lower line canon's...you know, that garbage that they sell cheap at christmas. So somebody......please buy!!

Although it's over a year old I would speak to Apple as this would appear to be a manufacturing defect.
I'll prolly end up doin that.

wow I am surprise to see this.

Thanks for all the help. I downloaded the iStat program and found that the highest temp is around 40 to 50 degree C. I thought that's not normal and worry that it will hurt the inside components.

I will try to put my macbook with more load and see if the temp goes up even higher. I am surprise macbook has such high temp as I never experienced this type of heat when using other brands of laptop! :(

    40-50C is nothing, honestly.

Most likely you never bothered to measure the temps of your other laptops. You'd be surprised...

You now have a GPU/CPU combo in one die, as well as turbo automatically over clocking cores as well. Both will tend to yield higher temps.

I really like my OtterBox Defender, as I mentioned in my review above I almost did not switch over to the the Ivyskin Q3. It is thick, it will not work in any of my docking ports but for protection you can't beat it. OtterBox has a new case in the works that my be of interest here. It has not been released yet it is called the Reflex, see the link below. According to the description it has the protection of the Defender with a slim design and a snap off bottom for docking. It sounds very interesting. :)

It of course shouldn't matter, but you are using the shift key below the caps lock?

I'm about at the limit of my knowledge from what I remember about these sorry.

Maybe someone else can jump in with some ideas?

Seems odd that it will not boot without extensions, or if it is getting to that point even?

yup and no prob thank you for the help yeah it just goes right to the screen saver and will not let me click on anything.
