I have been getting an update reminder for the latest version of Adobe Reader. I haven't come across many, hardly any, reviews and wanted to come here and ask you all if you suggest something else of equal value to download instead of the newest Adobe REader...I believe it's 10.0 and I currently have 9.4.3
thanks

When I upgraded from a 23" Cinema Display to a 27" Cinema Display I appreciated the size increase... for two days...
Sorry for asking but what did you mean by "for two days". My apologies for bad comprehension today :o

All Things Digital has posted (http://d8.allthingsd.com/20100607/steve-jobs-at-d8-the-full-uncut-interview/) the full, uncut video of the opening session of its D8 conference last week, which featured an interview (http://www.macrumors.com/2010/06/01/steve-jobs-in-opening-interview-session-at-d8-conference/) with Apple CEO Steve Jobs conducted by Walt Mossberg and Kara Swisher. Video clips (http://www.macrumors.com/2010/06/02/video-clips-of-last-nights-d8-interview-with-steve-jobs/) from the interview were posted soon after it ended, but with the full 90+ minute interview now available, Apple fans have a warm-up act to enjoy before Jobs takes the stage for his keynote presentation at the company's Worldwide Developers Conference in just a few hours.
iPad and iPhone/iPod touch readers should note that while the embedded version of the video requires Flash, the video hosted on All Things Digital's site is a non-Flash format compatible with your device.

Is backing up any different than syncing?
Pardon my ignorance - I went from an ipod nano 4th generation household to a 2 iPod touches - 1 iPad 2 - 2 iPhone 4 - 1 macbook pro 2011 13.3 in 4 months...
The iPod touch IS a gateway drug.
No need to pardon your ignorance....
I think it is different but maybe I'm wrong. To be safe do this:
-Fire up iTunes and plug in her black phone.
-Right-click on it and click on "backup".
-Let it do it's thing and when it's done disconnect it.
-Plug in the new white phone and when you're setting it up select the option to restore from a previous backup (its worded something like that).

Before I start: This is not a complaint thread. I'm just wondering about other forum members.
Is anybody else having difficulty trying to use Lion frequently? I've kept up to date with the latest update but am I the only one who just switches back to SL because of bugs and hangs. I love the new features and know that there's going to be many bugs but is anybody else experiencing stuff that is annoying them so much they switch back to Snow Leopard next time they boot?

I mean the switch from Windows to the Tiger box. I reckon it'd bee cool if it was a bit slower - more dramatic. That's just me being nit-picky though. I reckon it's a great 'tar.

As far as a great resource for Mac OS X (Panther) you should check out David Pogue's "Mac OS X The Missing Manual (Panther Edition)". It will tell you eveything you'd ever want to know about Mac OS X, and then some. I had the pleasure of meeting him at a DL Expo show in NY. I'm sure his book will be a great help to you. Good luck, and welcome to the Mac world!

Marc

wasn't entirely sure where to put this, so apologies.
i recently bought a blackberry curve 8520, and it has never shown up on my mac, this hasn't really been a problem as i just charge it via the mac, but now i want to add some music, and bluetooth, nor physically connecting the blackberry works.
bluetooth returns errors, and it plain wont show up on my mac, even in disk utility.
i have the blackberry auto - mass storage drive as 'yes'
any help would be appreciated.
Alex

Are you trying to run an intranet or internet server?

I always liked the name Showtime. It was suggested when Apple announced movies on iTunes.
Nero already has an app called Nero Showtime so that's not gonna work

just like Google and Microsoft license their software to whoever wants to make hardware and software for them. Divide et impera - divide and rule. Apple never understood this simple concept.
(This is precisely what makes their platforms junk.)
Apple, never understanding that simple concept, managed to sell you a brand new iMac.
And an iPhone 3G.

So you can pull the stickers off, throw a "made for Windows XP" sticker on your iPhone case, and confuse the crap out of everyone.
