I was going to make a new thread but came across this post. I want to implement scenario #2. What mode would I put the airport express in? Would they be broadcasting the same network twice if I wired it up like this (meaning I would see WirelessNetworkName twice)?
put it in "extend (bridge mode)" under connection sharing on the internet page.
then give it the same SSID and security settings as the main base.
your devices will automatically switch to the stronger signal as you move around the house. it will only appear once.
most large locations (like airports (not apple's devices, but the places with airplanes)) do this, and you never know.
that's only if you are using the same flavor of wireless (B,G, or N) on both units, if you are trying to create separate G & N networks, still use the bridge mode but give them different names. (up to you if the security settings are the same or not)

Worked for me, sent to my gmail email address. I didn't use the form, just hard coded the variables on the email script.
You're a star! I just tested it with my hotmail address and it works but its not going to my other email which it needs to, any ideas?
Its not even landing in the trash...

Compared to the G3 it will be a rocket.
The mini is certainly good value for its price.
Make sure you max out the RAM.

So far, by changing GoDaddy's DNS info to point to our dyndns host, I can get our GoDaddy domain to point to the server.... but it loads the church's website! I have set up a new Web Site in Server Admin with the Web Folder pointing to the output of iWeb (just as the church's website is set up).
Can you post what your website setup looks like in Server Admin? (See attached)
If you can enter childrenscenter.org in your browser and get the church website, then your DNS setup seems to be working okay but your web server setup isn't

*just read in another thread that you have to change the apn. I didn't know that and try it. But someone else said it works fine.

hows something like this?
Here (http://www.buy.com/prod/13-3-macbook-intel-core-2-duo-2-4ghz-4gb-ram-500gb-hard-drive-nvidia/q/sellerid/31064376/loc/101/217650314.html)
Or this (http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/shop_mac/family/macbook_pro?mco=MTM3NDc0NDI)? (2nd option, for $1,499.00)
Might get the second, i've heard great things about i7. Also i've heard wifi is better on MB because the aluminum interferes on the MBP?

quick and exciting very good :)
the packaging piece is bland, can you dolly in and maybe tumble the camera a little?
only critique is that zip up at the end is cut too quick.
you had it nice and slow at start but at the end something where you can at least see it going up as ending.
cant get the zipper feel ;)

These banners are just supreme. I don't think I remember ever seeing these-- only the "Think Different" ads in magazines way back when.
The "Think Different" campaigns were ingenious, and to think several years later Apple would resort to those awful, mind-numbing "dancing silhouettes" for iPod and the even more mind-numbing "Mac vs. PC" ones to appeal to the masses.
Thanks for sharing.

I'm having this problem with my relatively new (3 months) iBook. After it's been woken from sleep mode, the keyboard won't work for a minute or so. It'll work if the iBook's been open during sleep mode and I wake it up using the keyboard, but if I wake it from being closed or I wake it with the mouse, the keyboard doesn't function for a short period of time. Help?
Couple questions...during this time, does the mouse work? When you say "minute," do you mean 5-8 seconds, or do you really mean a minute?
My iBook takes about that much time (5-8 seconds) to get an Airport connection, and during that time, the mouse and keyboard are both initially non-responsive.... And I think that's normal. But I'm not sure if that's what you're describing.

LCDs looks horrible when not ran at their native resolution. You will definitely want to run it at 2560x1600. If the text is too small, sit closer or make the fonts bigger.
Um... no...
My 27" looks great @ 1920x1080...
In games, you can't tell the difference.

The SL disc you have may not have the version of OS X needed for your MBA. MBA shipped after SL was released this e.g. 10.6.0 may not work. Call Apple and ask them to send you a replacement installation media, it shouldn't cost more than 20$ or so.
Also, http://guides.macrumors.com/Mac_doesn't_boot
Can anyone confirm what disk or version of SL I need to do a clean install? This shouldnt be this hard to find out, I cant be the only one wanting to do a clean install of OS X without the USB thingy.

Lol that's what I ment... I'm a drummer so NAMM just came out accidentally.
Of course I don't expect any news from you guys, just a better video and highlights from Apple rather then the bloggers there (no offense to bloggers thanks for getting the info up).
I want it day 1 mainly to learn it as fast as possible and see how FCX 64bit works on my Mac Pro, since I have been limited to Adobe and handbreak at the moment. I understand why people will wait, let's hope there's not many bugs to fix.
I understand not wanting competitors to see the product. I don't need the whole write up just a bit more of what's to come. The release is so close and I'm sure adobe and avid saw plenty of FCX so a little teaser trailer would be cool. I'm just excited to see how this program will work, it should be interesting. Let's hope it rocks!

I am doing a website for a client and they have sent me their logo.
The design is pretty basic but the image they sent me doesn't quite do it justice.
I was wondering if anyone could knock up a slightly sleeker looking logo?

I worked on that clip alone for about an hour. Then I managed to pull the lower case section out a little bit to disengage it. I also used a modified popsicle stick instead of a black nylon stick  .
heh.. i figured it out. i accessed it from the optical drive's slot. pbfixit says to go in through the little gap you create between the top and bottom half of the base. i ended up putting some nice dents in my pb from trying to wedge stuff in there.. lo' and behold going in through the optical drive and up released it in 10 seconds. i'm going to email them and let them know they suck. that said, i wouldn't recommend pbfixit.com to anyone.

Yes, I understand that there are differences between the two types of computers however, Is the 2360QM i7 in the Samsung be as good as the rumored processor in the iMac? I'd be looking at the 21.5 inch model. Specifically the $1200 model which is rumored to have the following
1199$ 21.5" iMac
Intel Core i3-2100 (3.1GHz)
AMD 6490M with 256MB GDDR5
750GB HD
2x2GB RAM; option for 4x2GB
The Samsung has the following

Intel Core i7
Processor Speed
2.0GHz (with Turbo Boost up to 2.9GHz)
System Memory (RAM)
6GB
Computer Hard Drive Size
750GB
Graphics
NVIDIA GeForce GT525M
Video Memory
1GB GDDR3
I like the Mac OS X OS (and I NEED to have my Mac OS X G4 from 2001 replaced) but I also need a laptop as well and I want the most BANG for my buck.:)
I have $1,200 to spend. Advice is appreciated from the experts here.
Thanks

I keep reading on various posts that some people use a wet application method on dry films (PS and SGP).
Can you share your techniques and experiences using the wet apply on these films? Also is the adhesion as good as when applied dry?
I am interested since I have never had problems with dust, but I do have problems aligning it properly.
Aslo some questions about the SGP oleophobic:
1. Meltdownblitz mentioned in another thread that now instead of the single large speaker/cam cutout they have two separate ones. Do you have any pics? That single cutout was the only thing keeping me away from the oleo.
2. Why there is no back protector version of the SGP Oleo?
Not sure about your wet apply methods to dry apply films but I do know some people have been doing that. I personally had a friend at Att install my film for me because I am horrible at it. He aligned it perfect and went on easy without dust.
And about your question about the 2 separate cutouts for the oleo film, I'll take a pic for you of mine and edit this post and post it here. I'm still loving my oleo film though. And not to sure why they don't have a back oleo film, I'm sure they will soon though, another company just came out with a oleo back film that larry greenburg just reviewed recently, but if SGP comes out with a oleo back, I'll pick it up.

It sounds like he was recruited into the gaming Mafia or something!Well, the gaming community definitely gets intense in their er... 'hobby' or lifestyle. They take things berseriously. Like the person who stabbed someone w/ a screwdriver at one exhibition event. And come on, who wouldn't take a 'game' seriously if the prize was sponsored gaming set ups from big companies and free games/software/hardware and even beaucoup cash?! :p
