If I were to return it and wait for the 3G to arrive from Apple, would I be able to use GPS on the iPad2 3G/WiFi without using the 3G data service, and just tether data from my iphone 3G?

Like many of you I have installed an SSD as my main boot drive with a spinning disc for large file storage.
I am experiencing some issues on how to organize my files.
I want to keep documents, downloads etc on my SSD. I want to move my music, pictures and movies folders to my HDD. THe problem is my mac won't let me delete the music, pictures, movies folder on my SSD saying OSX needs it.
How do I convince OSX that those folders will be in my other drive from now on?
I guess I could move my hole home folder and make new "documents" and "downloads" on my SSD but I am looking for a more elegant solution.

P.S. also microsoft word updates wont work, gets stuck looking at both HDs and won't let me choose one for installation. what is going on there?

I will buy the MBA when it gets a backlit keyboard.
That's odd - they removed that? My previous gen MBA has a backlit keyboard. :confused:
BTW as far as the product's "evolution" goes - I think it's more likely that, as processor speed and power continue to increase far faster than peoples' needs do, buyers are beginning to realize that - practically speaking - a Core 2 Duo is more than enough computing power for what they do. Heck, we used to run Photoshop on G3 and G4 processors...

Apple will probably update iPods with a slight tweak to their DRM, breaking any music people have downloaded from anyone other than Apple.

Can not WAIT for this album...love everything Danger Mouse touches...especially the Beck, Gnarls Barkley and Gorillaz stuff he's worked on...should prove to be a very exciting release...2010 is shaping up to be a better year for music than 09 already! First single on December 21st!

Broken Bells, the new collaborative project featuring The Shins� James Mercer and Danger Mouse, will unveil its self-titled debut album on March 9th via Columbia Records. The effort is said to feature 10 �melodically seductive and psychologically provocative songs� co-written and performed by Mercer and Burton, including �The High Road�, which will be released as the first single on December 21st.
In addition to singing and songwriting, Mercer handles guitar and bass, while Danger Mouse plays organ, drums, piano, synths and bass. The pair play all the instruments on the album with the exception of a full string section arranged by Daniele Luppi. Not surprisingly, Danger Mouse also handled production. The album was recorded with Todd Monfalcone and Kennie Takahashi at Mondo Studio in Los Angeles.
For a sample ahead of the single�s release, we suggest you head to Stereogum and find the results of their �amateur detective� work.
Oh and just in case you were wondering how a dude from The Shins hitched up with the dude from Gnarls Barkley, according to the issued press release, �Danger Mouse and Mercer first met face-to-face backstage at the 2004 Roskilde Festival in Copenhagen. The pair immediately hit it off and kept in touch over the prevailing half decade and in May 2008 seized the opportunity to finally collaborate on original music together. Once in the studio, the musical floodgates opened, an intuitive ease and seemingly ego-less telepathy producing an astonishing flow of new material over the course of a year. I've had 3 iPhone 4's unlocked by Rogers, 2 of which were under contract. It is against their internal policies, but it partly depends on the rep you get. For the second phone I got one that was so confused (policy was only a week old) that I was able to convince him the policy allowed me to be unlocked and so he did.

Debugging is mainly handled within the browser. Chrome and Firefox are especially good at this (Firefox has Firebug which is useful and the standard Chrome dev tools are top notch too).

It appears that you need to repurchase your pre iTunes 7.0 music videos if you want the improved quality. I experimented by repurchasing one of my pre iTunes 7.0 music videos. I now have two copies of the same music video. One at the old resolution; the other at the new resolution.
I believe this to be unsatisfactory. This is not a format change, but an incremental quality improvement. My computer is authorised, my account is valid, and my downloads legal.
Apple is getting two bites at the cherry!

Hi there,
I just attached a 3rd display (all Dells; one connected via DVI, the other two via DP->miniDP), and now my MP won't start up. None of the displays show anything (they stay black) and the MP doesn't make the chime after I push the button, as it should.
Am I doing something wrong?
